We love to bring our youthful, energetic take on these classic tracks - besides doing DSOTM in its entirety we perform deep tracks from WYWH including “Shine On,” “Have a Cigar” and early Barrett-era numbers like “Astronomy Domine,” “Lucifer Sam” and their children like “Echoes” and “Fearless.”
Floyd tributes should be a dime a dozen, so why does Main Street Collective even bother? This music moves us the way it moves you and we are not content to just re-create the sounds of the originals . . .
Our centerpiece is the accurate, muscular guitar work of Aron Faria and the imaginative saxophone of Charlie Baldwin. The vocals are complete and strong with keyboardist Paul Godwin at the heart of Gilmour/Waters tenor parts and femme fatales Mae Flores & Haley Nicole Woodward on the big stuff. The rhythm section of Brett Neumann and Joey Beatty is solid, sexy and synchronistic.
